Top riders including Tixier, Moss and Taylor register again for ISRL Season 2
Pune, 14 May 2025: Top riders of the first season including former World Jordi Tixier, Matt Moss, Reid Taylor, Thanarat Penjan, Ben Hallgren and Thomas Ramette and many other champions are back for the Season 2 of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), the world’s first-ever franchise-based Supercross championship as a record 89 registrations were entered in just the first three weeks.
This remarkable early response outpaces last season’s registration timeline, where the league received 85 registrations after 3 months. The swift re-registration of established riders, including international superstars and Indian talent augurs well for Indian motorsports.
The global appeal of ISRL continues to grow, with registrations pouring in from across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Among the star athletes returning for Season 2 are Matt Moss, Jordi Tixier, Reid Taylor, Thanarat Penjan, Ben Hallgren and Thomas Ramette. They will be joined by three major international names: Alexander Fedortsov (USA), the 2025 ‘AMA SMX Next’ National Champion, Adrien Escoffier (France), a leading contender in the FIM World Supercross Championship, and Luke Clout (Australia), and 2024 P6 World Supercross Championship. India’s own top performers- Rugved Barguje, Ikshan Shanbhag, and Sarthak Chavan, who impressed in the previous season, will also be back in action. This blend of world-class international athletes and exceptional home-grown talent sets the stage for an exhilarating second season.

Rugved Barguje – Riding on a proper Supercross track in India felt like a dream come true. I was thrilled to compete in the Asia Mix category, but unfortunately, I was dealing with a thumb injury. Still, the adrenaline rush kept me going throughout the races. Now, with Season 2 approaching, I’m fully recovered and in a much better shape to ride. This time, my goal is clear- to secure a podium finish.”

The ISRL is set to return bigger and bolder, with Salman Khan joining as the official brand ambassador, boosting its visibility and appeal among mainstream audiences. Season 2 will run from October to December 2025, featuring multiple rounds across Indian cities and three racing categories: 450cc international, 250cc international, and 250cc India-Asia mix. Indian Supercross Racing League opens rider registrations for Season 2
Pune, 15 April, 2025: The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), the world’s first franchise-based Supercross league, is back with the much-anticipated Season 2. The rider registrations open on 24 April and promise higher-octane action, new international faces, and the return of celebrated talent from across the globe.
Following a inaugural run that brought together over 100 elite riders from nine countries and electrified fans across Indian cities, ISRL is rapidly becoming a sought-after destination for global motorsport talent. Season 2 is poised to reach greater heights with a bigger format and added star power, most notably with superstar Salman Khan joining hands with the league as the official brand ambassador. With inquiries already pouring in from international athletes and a strong home-grown line-up raring to go.

Season 1 featured some of the biggest names in global motocross, including Jordi Tixier (World Champion MX2, 2014), Matt Moss (9-time Australian MX & SX Champion), Thomas Ramette, Hugo Manzato, and many more. From Australia to France and Thailand to South Africa, the talent was unmatched. Indian champions like Rugved Barguje, Ikshan Shanbhag, Prajwal Vishwanth, Sarthak Chavan, and Shlok Ghorpade raced shoulder-to-shoulder with global pros, making history on tracks designed to world-class standards.

ISRL’s inaugural season set new benchmarks for motorsport events in India with a physical attendance of over 30,000 and a viewership of 11.5Mn in just 3 days of broadcast, establishing a new global record for a Supercross event.
Team BigRock Motorsports, led by India’s Dakar pioneer CS Santosh, emerged as champions of season 1, setting a high standard for competition. The first season successfully demonstrated India’s appetite for world-class Supercross action and laid a strong foundation for the sport’s growth.
