    Norris claims pole; Jehan starts on P13: F3 Race 1

    Lando Norris (Carlin, 1m28.362s) was unbeatable in the first FIA Formula 3 European Championship qualifying at the 4.307 kilometres long Circuit Zandvoort: the McLaren junior driver secured his sixth pole position of the season.

    Indian driver Jehan Dharuwala of Carlin could clock only 1: 28.940 and will start Race 1 in P13.

    However, the rivals of the British talent followed closely. Team-mate Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin, 1m28.374s) ended up in second place, only 0.012 seconds down on Norris while Joel Eriksson (Motopark, 1m28.442s) was classified third, 0.080 seconds down on Norris. Points’ leader Maximilian Günther (Prema Powerteam, 1m28.520s) claimed fourth place from Callum Ilott (Prema Powerteam, 1m28.521s) and Ralf Aron (Hitech Grand Prix, 1m28.644s). In total, the lap times of 16 drivers were within one second.

    Eight minutes into the session, Lando Norris got involved in the battle for the fastest time and soon after that, he already topped the time sheets. In the remainder of qualifying, the 17-year-old managed to improve his lap time more and more so that he eventually came out on top. Ferdinand Habsburg was happy with his second place, the best FIA Formula 3 European Championship qualifying result for the great-grandson of the last Austrian Emperor Karl I to date. Behind the Carlin duo, Joel Eriksson came third. In the drivers’ standings, he ranks only eight points behind Norris. The current FIA Formula 3 European Championship points’ leader Maximilian Günther will be starting from fourth place on the grid for the 19th race of the season in the junior category.

    How close everything was at the ex-Formula 1 circuit in the Dutch dunes is reflected by the gap of fifth-placed Callum Ilott, who was merely 0.001 seconds behind his team-mate Maximilian Günther. Ralf Aron (Hitech Grand Prix, 1m28.644s), David Beckmann (Motopark, 1m28.735s), Guanyu Zhou (Prema Powerteam, 1m28.762s), Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam, 1m28.766s) and Jake Hughes (Hitech Grand Prix, 1m28.824s) rounded out the top ten in qualifying.

    Lando Norris (Carlin): “It was a close fight for pole position with my team-mate, in which I eventually held the upper hand. For sure, we all assumed that we would be faster compared to free practice, but the track partly was very slippery. Thus, the improvements compared to free practice weren’t too big. I have to admit that I wasn’t certain whether my time would be enough for pole position. In the lap prior to my fastest time, I had quite some understeering in turn eight, but I was able to reduce the tyre temperature with a cool-down lap and then go faster again.”

  • Jehan, 1st Indian to get FIA F3 Euro win

    Nuremberg (Germany) 2 July 2017: Jehan Daruvala of the Sahara Force India Academy created history by becoming the first ever Indian to win in the FIA F3 European Championship. Jehan’s victory in race 3 comes 18 years after Naren Karthikeyan won in the British F3 Championship.

    The 2.3-km Norisring is an extremely fast and flowing layout for a street circuit, with mistakes being punished by concrete walls instead of soft tyre barriers. The Formula 3 rookie showed immense skill to clinch the top spot with two full-course yellow flag periods and made no mistakes despite coming under sustained pressure from championship leader Maximilian Gunther.

    The 2001 Formula 1 title runner-up David Coulthard, who also won in F3 on several occasions, presented the winner’s trophy to Daruvala.

    FIA Formula 3 is the toughest junior racing category in the world, having produced some of the best racing talents ever known including Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.

    Daruvala had qualified on the front row for the final race of the weekend – behind pole-sitter and championship leader Maximilian Gunther. As the lights went out, the 18-year old got off the line in a scintillating fashion, getting side-by-side with his German rival before even reaching the braking zone into turn one. He comfortably defended the inside while others scrabbled behind him and never looked back – completing a perfect lights to flag win 39 laps later.

    That is not to say the race was uneventful. There were many incidents and full-course yellows were deployed twice during the course of the race – but the Indian kept his head down and executed perfect restarts every single time, belying his experience in this format of single-seater racing.

    Keeping an experienced rival like Gunther, the championship leader with three years of F3 experience under his belt went a long way in cementing Jehan’s credentials as one of the best new talents in junior motorsport.

    Daruvala had a one-second advantage when the first full-course yellow was called on lap six, after a collision between Mick Schumacher and Pedro Piquet. At the restart, Gunther got slightly close and then several times during the race length of the race, but Daruvala kept up his relentless pace and never allowed his German rival an opportunity to make a move, taking the chequered flag with a 0.4s cushion.

    “It feels brilliant to get my first F3 win. I have been quick all weekend & it finally came together this race. I knew the start was crucial, so I focused a lot on that. Once I had Max at the start, I just had to ensure that I made no mistakes. The pressure was immense through the race, but I was enjoying myself.

    I must thank the team for a fantastic car all weekend & everyone else around me who have been instrumental in my success.” Said an ecstatic Jehan.

    There was plenty of action earlier on in the weekend as well, as FIA Formula 3 once again ran alongside the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) – one of world’s leading tin-top championships. The first qualifying session saw Daruvala finish ninth with a laptime of 48.409s, less than two-tenths slower compared to pole-position time of Jake Hughes (48.231s). It once again showcased the ultra-competitive nature of the championship with the entire grid of 18 drivers covered by just seven-tenths of a second.

    A strong haul of points thanks to his sixth & fourth places finishes in the first 2 races, meant that Jehan is now fifth in the overall standings and second in the rookie standings.

    Shortly after the race ended, there was a great show of support for the young Indian driver – particularly from his compatriot Karthikeyan who enjoyed strong success in Formula 3, incidentally also with Carlin Motorsport.

    He tweeted, “18 years after I won my first British F3 race, another Indian has made it to the top step once again – well done & congrats @DaruvalaJehan!”

    “By far India’s brightest prospect of making it to F1. Today’s superb drive in the most competitive junior grid seals that. Awesome mate!” said the second tweet from the first Indian in Formula 1.

    The next round of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship is scheduled at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps Circuit in Belgium on July 29-30.

    Monza (Italy), 1 May 2017: Sahara Force India Academy racer Jehan Daruvala, earned his maiden podium at the second round of the FIA F3 European Championship.

    It is the first time that an Indian was seen on the F3 podium. Earlier in the weekend, Jehan had created history by becoming the first Indian to qualify on pole in the competitive series, considered as one of the important stepping stones to F1.

    Jehan had a good start from pole, and entered the crucial first corner ahead of British racer Jake Dennis. Jehan made no mistakes in the first few laps and quickly opened up a gap of over 2 seconds to the chasing pack. Behind Jehan, a bunch of four racers – Dennis, McLaren Junior – Norris, championship leader – Joel Eriksson, and Ferdinand Habsburg were battling hard for second. Numerous changes of position ensued before Norris broke away and slowly started catching Jehan. On lap 15 Norris was right on Jehan’s tail coming around the last corner. The long start finish straight allowed Norris to take advantage of the slipstream from Jehan’s car and overtake him into the first corner.

    Jehan stayed with Norris and immediately tried to get his place back, but he wasn’t successful. The Indian teenager continued fighting but had to eventually settle for 2ndand took the chequered flag, just 0.65 seconds behind Norris, to earn his maiden podium in F3. Habsburg claimed 3rd, a further 4.7 seconds behind Jehan.

    Qualifying for Race 2 and 3 was held after Race 1. On his quick lap, Jehan unfortunately made a crucial mistake which cost him half a second and he dropped down the order. So close was the entire field that although Jehan was just 0.38 seconds slower than the fastest, he ended up tenth !

    Jehan started tenth for race 2 and was soon making his way up the order and found himself in eighth position. He soon caught the experienced Callum Illot and managed to muscle his way past. However, Illot retook the position back from Jehan and he had to settle for eighth. Swedish racer Joel Eriksson won the race.

    Race 3 saw Jehan start from eighth, based on his second fastest lap in the second qualifying session. Jehan had a good start and managed to hold position, but a few corners later another racer dived down his inside. Jehan was then pushed wide and deep into the gravel, which dropped him down all the way to 16th. Jehan luckily managed to rejoin, but dirty tyres meant it took him more than a lap to regain race pace which dropped him further away from the cars in front.

    Jehan quickly recovered and started making his way up the order around the 5.793km  Monza Grand Prix Circuit which is one of the fastest circuits on the calendar. Jehan soon in thirteenth, made an excellent move for twelfth, but the other racer shut the door on Jehan resulting in contact and the other car being launched in the air momentarily, to retire from the race. Jehan fortunately survived but once again lost considerable time to the cars he was chasing. He soon got his rhythm back and reeled off a series of quick laps to catch the cars in front. He overtook one by one eventually crossing the line in ninth and also clocking the second fastest laptime of the race. Callum Illot was the winner ahead of Norris.

    “A much better weekend for me in terms of pace. I have been right up there in almost all sessions. Pole position was fantastic and I am also happy with my 2nd place. A mistake on my flying lap in Q2 proved to be very costly. Starting mid grid and overtaking is not easy with all drivers being really quick. However I enjoyed the racing and have also learned a lot. I’m now focusing on the next weekend” said Jehan reflecting on the weekend.

    The Sahara Force India Academy racer once again finished all races in the points and earned himself three rookie trophies, besides his 2nd place trophy. He moves up from 8th to 7th in the championship but continues to remain 3rd in the Rookie Championship. Jehan’s next event will be held at the street circuit in Pau, France on 20th and 21st May.

    Jehan makes an impressive F3 Euro debut

    Silverstone, 19 April 2017: Sahara Force India Academy racer, Jehan Daruvala had an impressive debut in the highly competitive FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The Mumbai-based teenager stepped up to F3, after two commendable seasons in Formula Renault 2.0. Jehan’s first F3 weekend saw him on pace with the front runners and earned him two rookie podiums by Sunday.

    The first round of the 2017 F3 calendar was held at the famed 5.9km Silverstone Formula 1 circuit. Jehan was 11th in the first practice but improved significantly to finish third in the second session, just 0.28 seconds off the quickest time. Jehan continued his impressive pace to qualify fifth out of 19 racers in the first qualifying session. He was 0.28 seconds off the local British racer Lando Norris who bagged pole. Qualifying session 2 saw Jehan narrow down the gap to 0.173 seconds off pole, set by Callum Illot. With such a small gap, Jehan who is with Carlin team is qualified 6th which shows the competitiveness of the series.

    Race 1 started under the safety car due to rain and Jehan did not have an ideal race. He soon dropped down the order to 8th, before falling even further. Once the conditions improved, Jehan was able to make back some ground and eventually finished in the points with tenth. “Testing here, was under much better conditions. It took me a bit of time to adjust to the damp conditions on slick tyres which lost me a few places. It is good that I was able to recover at the end and finish in the points in my first F3 race” said Jehan after Race 1, which was eventually won by Norris.

    The start of Race 2 went terrible for Jehan. Overnight rain meant that the inside of the track was still wet and most racers on that side of the track had a bad start. As they fell down the order, Jehan found himself in 14th  after the start! Jehan was on pace immediately though and he slowly started climbing back, up the order. Ahead of him, race 1 winner Lando Norris also had a bad start and Jehan went on to have an exciting battle with Lando. On the last lap of the race, Jehan got the better of him and overtook Lando for eighth and finished in the same position.  Jehan’s impressive pace saw him overtake more cars than anyone else in race 2 which was won by Swedish racer Joel Eriksson.

    In the Rookie classification in Race 2, Jehan was second behind Mick Schumacher while Lando was 3rd .

    Race 3 grid was based on the second fastest lap in Qualifying 2. Jehan started well from fifth and managed to hold his position. Soon he overtook Lando to move into fourth. Jake Dennis joined them to make it a three car battle and soon got the better of Lando. Jehan then made a small mistake which allowed Lando to overtake both cars at one time, dropping Jehan to fifth once again. Jehan was then overtaken by Jake, which dropped Jehan to sixth, where he eventually finished. Callum Illot won the race.

    In the rookie classification in Race 3, Jehan once again bagged the trophy for coming 2nd behind Lando Norris while Joey Mawson was third.

    “ There were many positives from my first weekend in Formula 3. Qualifying 5th, 6th and 5th for the 3 races of the weekend and finishing in the points in all 3 races was very satisfying. The experience of battling through the field from 14th to 8th in Race 2 and the top 6 finish in Race 3 was a good result. I must thank everyone at Carlin for the hard work they have put in over the winter to give me a competitive car.”

    Jehan came away from the first event 3rd in the Rookie Championship and 8th in the overall table. Jehan’s next race will be at the end of April where the FIA Formula 3 European Championship will race alongside the World Touring Car Championship in Monza.

    Jehan Daruvala wins Lady Wigram Trophy again

    Christchurch, 17 Jan 2017: Jehan Daruvala representing the Sahara Force India Academy, achieved the rare distinction of successfully defending the Lady Wigram Trophy Title. The Mumbai based teenager had won the same trophy which is amongst New Zealand’s most prestigious races, in spectacular fashion last year, after starting 15th on the grid.  Jehan is the first racer since 1993 to successfully defend the trophy!

    In race 2, earlier in the day, Jehan started fifth as per the reverse grid rules. A bad start by him meant he fell down the order to 8th. The 3.33 Ruapuna Circuit at Christchurch is immensely difficult to overtake and Jehan was unable to gain back his lost positions. On the penultimate lap, the racer behind Jehan made an opportunistic lunge in a bid to overtake Jehan. The move resulted in contact and Jehan’s right front wheel had extensive damage, forcing him to retire from the 15 lap race. The race was won by Thomas Randle of Australia.

    The Lady Wigram Trophy was the third and biggest race of the weekend. Jehan made an excellent start from pole, and immediately pulled away from the rest of the grid. His impressive pace ensured that he continued to increase his lead to almost three seconds, before the safety car was deployed. Jehan once again pulled away at the restart and soon built up his lead when, once again, the safety car was deployed due to another incident. The second restart also saw Jehan pull away again, but almost immediately the red flag was brought out, suspending the race.

    The final restart of the day had Jehan pull away at the front. He soon built up his customary lead and took the chequered flag ahead of British racer Enaam Ahmed and Pedro Piquet, and successfully defended his 2016 title.

    “Race 2 was unfortunate, after I was hit and had to retire. I am happy I could keep my focus up and managed the three restarts well, in the Lady Wigram Trophy Race. My pace was really good and the team have done a fantastic job in giving me a great car. I would really like to thank everyone who have been part of my success and most importantly I must thank Sahara Force India for their continued support” said Jehan after winning the prestigious 20 lap race.

    The Lady Wigram Trophy was first contested in 1951 and numerous Formula 1 greats have won the trophy including Jack Brabham, Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, Bruce McLaren and Jim Clark. Jehan’s excellent weekend also saw him clock the fastest lap in race 3, bag two pole positions and a second place in race 1.

    The Toyota Racing Series will now move next weekend to the Teretonga Park circuit in Invercargill, New Zealand.

    Silverstone (UK), 18 May 2016: Sahara Force India Academy Racer – Jehan Daruvala, completed Round 2 of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC at the famed Silverstone F1 Circuit in the UK, with 2 strong finishes just outside the podium. He managed a 5th & 4th place at the same circuit, where he came out unscathed after a horrific crash last year.

    Jehan managed to qualify 6th out of the 24 racers in Qualifying session 1, He was immediately behind Championship leader – Dorian Boccolacci of France. Belgian, Max Defourny bagged pole position ahead of Britain’s Lando Norris.

    In Qualifying session 2, Jehan went one higher to qualify 5th on the grid, while Lando Norris bagged pole ahead of fellow Brit – Will Palmer.

    “After analysing all the data with the team, I know that I am right up there through the entire lap, I need to work on my speed through the last two corners, because I am losing most of my time just there.” reflected Jehan after Qualifying.

    Race 1 saw Jehan get a decent start but he soon lost two positions. In two laps he made up one position by overtaking Alex Gill on the inside.

    A few laps later Jehan made a fantastic and aggressive move down the inside of Keeffe. Keeffe slammed the door shut & the two made contact. Keeffe had to retire while Jehan suffered front wing damage & managed to eventually finish the race in fifth place. Max Defourny won the race ahead of Boccolacci, while Will Palmer finished 3rd.

    Jehan made a good start in Race 2 & held his fifth place. Lando Norris ran away at the front & built up a lead of 3 car lengths. On lap three Jehan was all over the rear of Race 1 winner – Max Defourny. Jehan then made the most unbelievable move on the outside of Defourny into a sharp, downhill left hander. In what was certainly the overtaking move of the race, Jehan moved into fourth.

    Jehan soon chased down Boccolacci & tried his best, but could not make a move. As his tyres started to go off, he decided to back off & protect his 4th position. Norris continued his lead extension at the front to win ahead of Palmer, Boccolacci & Jehan.

    “I need to find more time on brand new tyres in qualifying. My race pace has been decent but I have been losing out in qualifying this weekend. It’s something I will definitely be working on. I enjoyed the battle with Defourny, but then I pushed too hard, too soon, which meant that my tyres lost grip a little sooner than I would have liked. I had no choice but to give up on fighting for third & instead had to protect my fourth place” said Jehan after Race 2.

    Jehan’s next race will be at the world famous Monaco Street Circuit as part of the support Race to Formula 1 on 28th & 29th May as part of the Formula Renault Eurocup.

    Second in Championship for Jehan

    Feilding (New Zealand) 14 Feb 2016: Sahara Force India Academy Racer, Jehan Daruvala, rounded off his maiden Toyota RJD16_R5A1acing Series New Zealand on a high. The Indian teenager finished runner-up in the overall championship after a good weekend where he had one pole position and one second place finish.

    Jehan entered the fifth and final round lying fourth overall in the championship table and knew it was important for him to finish consistently amongst the top five. Quick in practice at the 3km long Manfeild Autocourse, Jehan topped the timesheets of an extremely close first qualifying session with a time of 1:02.492. The top three were within six hundredths of a second, as Norris was second just 0.03 seconds behind Jehan while Brazilian Piquet, was just 0.062 seconds behind Jehan.

    Qualifying two was even closer as the series witnessed its closest qualifying session. This time the top three were all within one hundredth of a second, as Norris topped the timesheet with a lap time of 1:02.145 ahead of Piquet and Jehan who managed to clock the exact same lap time, down to a thousandth of a second! They both had a lap time of 1:02.162!

    Jehan, starting on pole for race one, got bogged down a bit as the lights went out and relinquished his top spot to Norris. Soon, Piquet and Markelov of Russia made contact and the safety car was brought out while Piquet had to retire. Jehan lost two places and fell to fourth at the restart, before the safety car was deployed once again. This time Jehan retained his position while race leader Norris fell to third. The race was won by Ferdinand Habsburg while Jehan’s fourth place finish ensured he moved from fourth to second in the championship table.

    Race two starting grid was based on the top eight finishers of race one being reversed. Jehan started fifth and had a good start to move into third. The seventeen-year-old was very quick and he proceeded to chase down the front runners. He soon made a good move on Antoni Ptak and moved into second. Jehan then closed the gap to race leader Brendon Leitch but was not able to make a move to pass him. Leitch won less than a second ahead of Jehan, while Ptak was third.

    Jehan started from third in race three, but was overtaken at the start by Markelov. On lap two, Jehan ran wide and fell down to ninth. A few laps before the end he managed to overtake Ferrari Academy racer Zhou to finish the race in eighth. Jehan benefitted and moved up a position into seventh, after Piquet was handed a post-race penalty.

    “I knew I couldn’t afford any major mistakes coming into the last round. The two qualifying sessions were the closest I have been in. I really enjoyed climbing up the order in the reverse grid race, to second. Second in the overall championship, amongst a really competitive line-up, means a lot to me. I must thank the Sahara Force India Academy for the valuable support and also a big thank you to M2 Competition for giving me a fantastic car all through the championship,” said Jehan.

    Jehan’s quick pace and consistent results in the first two races this weekend ensured he comfortably retained and finished second in the overall championship. Lando Norris was the champion ahead of Jehan, while Brendon Leitch was third.  Three victories in addition to multiple podiums, summarise  Jehan’s strong and consistent performance in his maiden campaign inthe Toyota Racing Series. The series this year has had one of its most competitive line-ups with racers including Pedro Piquet (Twice Brazilian F3 Champion and son of F1 World Champion Nelson Piquet), Lando Norris (Former World Karting Champion and F4 Champion), Guanyu Zhou (Ferrari Academy Driver), Artem Markelov (Former German F3 runner up and GP2 racer)

    Jehan, Vice Runner Up at the World Karting Championship in 2014, made the jump from karting to cars only last year. The Sahara Force India Academy racer’s past important milestones are the British KF3 Champion, CIK FIA Asia Pacific KF3 Champion, Malaysian Yamaha Karting Champion and JK Tyre Indian National Rotax Karting Champion. Numerous channels and magazines have also awarded Jehan, their Motorsport Award.

    Next week, Jehan will begin testing in Europe. He will be contending for two separate championship titles, the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup Series and the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC.

  • Jehan walks away from a triple roll accident at Silverstone

    The Indian racer is taking part in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup series for the first time. Daruvala was quick in practice but had a terrible crash in Race 1 to effectively bring an end to his event.

    The 16-year-old Indian topped the time sheets of the first practice session with a laptime of 1:58.831 with 28 cars on the grid. In session 2 he slipped down to 7th in the order, 0.4 seconds off. In qualifying for race 1 and 2, Jehan at one stage had the quickest sector times, when a small but crucial mistake put him out of contention for pole in both races. The huge number of cars on the grid means that starting orders were not based on pure quickest lap and Jehan would start 6th for race 1 and 14th for race 2.

    Race 1 started with Jehan 6th on the grid. Unfortunately the race took a nasty turn for Jehan, as going into the Becketts curve, he was squeezed by team-mate Ben Barnicoat. The 2 cars made contact and Jehan left the track at high speed.     “We both entered the complex side by side and there was contact. I was a mere passenger after that. It is the first time I have had to get out of a car upside down” said a disappointed Jehan adding a touch of humor to the incident. His car was completely wrecked and the situation meant that Jehan would not be able to participate in race 2.

    The team worked hard and somehow managed to put the car back together for Race 3 the next day. Jehan was optimistic about the race, but unfortunately the car had suffered too much damage in the triple roll the previous day. Jehan suffered from suspension issues, with his laptimes around 0.9 seconds slower than the quickest, he crossed the line in 16th position.

    “I have to really thank the team for the excellent job they did to prepare the car for Race 3. Sadly, there were some issues which couldn’t be solved at the track and I was off the pace. That’s the way racing is. I am happy with the pace I had in practice and qualifying. I am just going to now focus and look forward to my next race this weekend in Nurburgring”  said Jehan

  • Arjun Maini, Tarun Reddy, Jehan Daruvala win the `1 from a Billion Hunt’

    Delhi, 28 Oct 2011: After hosting the regional rounds of the `One From A Billion’ Hunt spanning seven cities, the Sahara Force India Formula One Team Academy has finally chosen the three winners from thousands of applicants during the final round of the Hunt recently held at Silverstone.

     

    Arjun Maini (14 year old) from Bangalore was chosen as the winner of the Sahara Force India Formula One Team Academy’s One From A Billion Hunt. The first runner up was Tarun Reddy (14) from Chennai with the second runner up being Jehan Daruvala (13) from Mumbai. While Arjun Maini and Tarun Reddy qualified from the Bangalore and Chennai regional rounds of the One From A Billion Hunt, Jehan Daruvala qualified through the Wild Card Entry Round that was held in Hyderabad.

    At the end of the intensive hands-on week, an expert panel consisting of Robert Fernley, Deputy Team Principal, Sahara Force India Formula One, Eddie Jordan, F1 Expert and Commentator of BBC, Anthony Hamilton and Nico Hulkenberg, Test and reserve driver, Sahara Force India Team, evaluated and picked the three winners on the basis of a holistic assessment of their multiple capabilities and proficiency in requisite areas.

    The winners were chosen from the ten national finalists selected during the National Finals held in Goa. The ten finalists went on to do a week-long intensive stint at Silverstone, UK comprising sessions of driver tuition on Dmax Karts, a day at the Porsche Human Performance Centre to assess and develop fitness for motorsports and media training with Goodman Media. The ten selected drivers completed their Silverstone experience with a race in Senior Dmax karts at the Daytona Kart Circuit, Milton Keynes.

    “The top three were very close in the race for the championship and I have decided that all three would be sent to Europe for a comprehensive Driver Development Programme. The decision to be taken in consultation with their parents will ensure their education, lodging and training by Sahara Force India.” added Dr. Mallya.

    Arjun Maini, Tarun Reddy and Jehan Daravala, will receive a fully funded European based driver development programme preparing them to become Formula One drivers. They will commence their journey to becoming a Formula 1 driver with a go-karting programme in Europe. They will then advance to appropriate single-seater formula series before progressing to GP3 and GP2 and then F1.
