TVS’ Rajendra wins K1000; Sarath Mohan, top privateer
Bengaluru, 14 Aug 2022: Former National champion Rajendra RE of Petronas TVS Racing notched up a hard-fought second consecutive victory beating teammate and defending champion Abdul Wahid Tanveer in the K1000 2-wheeler rally, the fourth round of the GodSpeed Racing fmsci MRF Mogrip National 2w Rally Championship 2022 organised by Karnataka Motor Sports Club here at the Tribal Adventure Cafe on Sunday.
While Tanveer began the season with a victory at Chikmagaluru, Rajendra bounced back with a fine victory at Coimbatore in Round 3, and with this K1000 win, he took a narrow 1-point lead on the championship table with two rounds to go. All the TVS riders missed Round 2 due to new technical regulations.
Rajendra, the Shivamogga talent, started cautiously as some parts of the Special Stages remained slushy but still clocked the fastest times in all the six Special Stages. However, despite having about 8-second lead, he threw caution to winds and clocked a blistering 7min, 12.207sec in the final Special Stage to make over 12 seconds that left Tanveer clueless. Nataraj, finished a distant third. Samuel Jacob and Imran Pasha (SS 260cc) completed the top-5 sweep for TVS.
Sarath Mohan and Naresh VS are the only riders who have won all the four rounds, thus far, and are well on their way to National Championship honours.

All-win streak continues: Sarath Mohan sweeps all rounds in Superbike Expert class Kerala’s Sarath Mohan, astride a Husqvarna FE450, became the top privateer, taking sixth place in the overall standings, behind Petronas TVS Racing team, who once again made a clean sweep of all the top five places. Sarath, the 25-year talent from Mallapuram, won the Superbike Expert Class 1A beating state mate Sinan Francis (KTM 450) of Kochi by a huge margin. In fact, his big lead helped him overcome the time he lost going off-route due to a missing ‘bunting’ in the stages and a road penalty later. Still he was fastest in all the stages. “I missed the route and lost about two minutes in the Banana farms. But I am quite happy to continue my winning streak,” said the talented rider, who aims to shift to longer cross-country rallies abroad by 2024. Mithun Gopal of Thiruvananthapuram, on a Suzuki RM450, won the bronze to make the class an all-Kerala affair.
Bengaluru’s Naresh VS conquered the Royal Enfield Class 6 astride a Himalayan. Naresh was fastest in all the six stages taking a healthy five-minute lead before his nearest rival Mahesh Kumar suffered a 1min, 40-sec road penalty. Sajeer Ismail from Ernakulam came third.
Bengaluru’s Aishwarya Pissay, the 2019 World Cup Baja winner, took back the championship lead in the Ladies class with a facile victory. With Aishwarya missing Round 2, Fazeela of Ernakulam, took the title lead after Round 3, but today she lost over six minutes in the very first Special STage and had to be content with a fourth place. Bengaluru’s Sameera Dahiya came second on an Impulse and Deeksha Shrivasta, the reigning Sprint champion, finished third.
Imran Pasha of Mysore won the Supersport 260cc Group B class comfortably despite easing off in the last stages where teammate Banteilang Jyrwa clocked the fastest times. However, the TVS talent and former champion did a creditable job taking the overall fifth position on his RTR200 punching above his weight to beat more powerful bikes. Mangalore’s Adnaan Ahmed who won Round 2 at home, finished third.
Bengaluru’s Anoop Manjappa on a Stunner defeated Chalass Bose (Kottayam) despite a 1min 10sec penalty in the Supersport 130cc class. Chikkamagaluru rider Sudarshan B on a Gladiator finished third. However, Bose, the Kottayam rider, leads the table by a narrow six-points by virtue of his two wins and two second places while Anoop, has two wins and a second and could only finish fourth in Coimbatore, losing precious points.
But Gidyun Benjamin, who clocked fastest times in all the six stages, lost to Sasi Kumar K in the Supersport 165cc Group B class due to a road penalty of 2min 50seconds. Varun Kumar came third. Sasi Kumar, breathes easy as he now tops the table with 83 points as, Francis PV, the table topper going into Round 4, had a terrible crash and suffered a leg fracture.
Mumbai’s Russel Jossy on a KTM 390 clocked fastest times on all the stages except SS4 but his nearest rival Amog Nag lost over 4min Liaison penalty and just managed to beat veteran Venu Ramesh Kumar by about 11 seconds. Coimbatore’s Venu, a regular in the rally scene for over a decade bagged another podium and still leads the Supersport 400cc Group B championship standings going into the final two rounds. Assam’s Hansraj Saikia, who came fifth, is second behind Venu in the standings.
Sanjay Somasekhar won the Superstock Group D upto 450cc class beating Naveen Somasekhar, also of Bengaluru while C Pradeep took the third place.
Pinkesh Thakkar of Aprilia JB Racing topped the standings winning the Scooter class while BK Pawan won the Star of K1000 title.
Of the 87 entries, a total of 76 bikes finished the rally while 10 “Did Not Finish” (DNF) and one rider Harish Eranty could not take the start on time.

Rajendra triumphs at MRF Rally of Coimbatore; TVS dominates
Coimbatore, 17 July 2022: Former champion Rajendra RE spearheaded a stunning bounce back by Petronas TVS Racing team into strong contention with a solid overall victory even as the team made a clean sweep of the top-five positions in the MRF Rally of Coimbatore, the third round of the God Speed Racing MRF MoGrip fmsci National Rally Championship-2W 2022 organised by Coimbatore Auto Sports Club (CASC) here on Sunday.
Sarath Mohan, became the top privateer, taking sixth behind the TVS riders and Aishwarya Pissay, made light of the competition with another easy victory in the Ladies Class, switching easily into local rally mode after another round of high-performance training in Europe, the second this year. Satara lass, Tanika Shanbagh, who upgraded herself to a higher class to gain experience on a super bike, rode the Husqvarna with confidence finishing overall 18 among a field of 100 bikes that took the start. While 14 failed to finish the rally, Tanika, competing on par with men, is making strides improving her timing every round.

Winners All: Winners of different classes in the Round 3 of the MRF Rally of Coimbatore. Sarath Mohan bagged the sixth overall place astride a Husqvarna and won the gold in his class as he clocked the third fastest time after Rajendra and Imran Pasha, both from the stables of TVS. The talented biker puts in tremendous efforts into his preparations but was bogged down on Sunday due to clutch issues. He overcame a serious accident last year and recovered to mount his challenge once again. He is a strong contender to win his maiden National title in Class 1A, the Superbike Expert Group A category this year. “Yes, I have to get my bike set-up right. Today, I had to go only at 60 per cent of my usual self due to clutch issues. On the fourth stage I got into my own and was having fun but in no time the rally was over,” said the Kerala rider, who trains with Dakar star, Harith Noah, back home.

Rajendra RE bounces back into contention with an easy victory at Coimbatore Rajendra, the Shimoga-born 2019 Overall champion, who could only get 12 points from a fourth place in Round 1, bagged full 25 points to place himself in a fighting distance with table topper and teammate Abdul Waheed Tanveer, who despite increasing the pace to win the last two stages, could only finish second in Class 1. Rajendra’s blistering pace in the first two stages, provided him a buffer of over 20 seconds. The former champion began with a bang topping SS1 in the Kethanoor farms to log a 15-sec lead that helped him finish Overall first with ease and grace.
The Class may have only four riders, but the competition was high as all the four National champions (in different years) finished within three seconds. All four missed second round due to Team Orders, but it would not affect any of them in this class as all belong to Petronas TVS Racing, which bagged top honours with Imran Pasha, the Class V winner taking the fifth spot.
World Cupper Aishwarya Pissay, was back in her elements posting a facile win in the Ladies class and logged 38th place in the Overall ranking for a creditable performance in Round 3, which saw a record number of over 100 bikers vying for honours.
SuperSport 130cc Group B – Class 2
Chalass K Bose, put his #62 Stunner on the top of the pack beating Vinoth Kumar (also on a Stunner) of Erode by a whisker and another Kerala rider has to be content with a third place astride a Gladiator. With this win, the Kottayam champ took a 13-point lead over his nearest rival Anoop Manjappa, who could finish only fourth.
Adnan suffers loss, but keeps Overall lead
Meanwhile, championship leader Adnan Ahmed saw former champion Imran Pasha race away to a comfortable lead. But later Imran’s TVS mate Sachin too pipped Adnan by less than two-seconds. However, Adnan’s 15 points today for his third-placed finish still keep him atop the rankings with a 5-point lead over Pasha, who has 50 points (2 wins).
Venu Ramesh, at his best in Supersport 400cc Group B
The story of this Coimbatore veteran is all about passion and experience. Venu Ramesh Kumar, the oldest rider in the field, continues to defy age with his commitment and dedication to fitness teaching a lesson or two to youngsters half his age. He won comfortably by a mile beating the Bengaluru duo of Amog Nag and Mohammed Zaheer to second and third places respectively. Venu, who also takes part in four-wheeler rallies, keeps himself fit taking part in competitive cycling activities.
Naresh bags Bullet class
Naresh VS, another rider, popular as Bruce Lee among the biking family, chalked out an easy win brushing aside the two Kerala riders, Arun Joy and Shajeer Ishmail in the Bullet class.
Sasi Kumar, on an Impulse, bagged Class 3, the Supersport 165cc Group B while local rider Sabarish won the Superstock 450cc Group D. Vishnu Prakash, also on an Impulse won the local Class 10, a non-championship class.
TVS continues to dominate Scooter class
Petronas TVS Racing continues to dominate the Scooter class with Syed Asif Ali and Shamim Khan making it 1-2 for the Hosur factory team while Subramanya T finished third.

Rally of Chikmagalur flagged off; Cream of Indian talent descends in coffee land
Chikkamagaluru, 14 May 2022: The Rally of Chikmagalur organised by Motor Sports Club of Chikmagalur (MSCC) was flagged off here on Saturday to kick-start the 2022 season with the first round of the MRF MoGrip fmsci Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) for two-wheelers promoted by GodSpeed Racing. Of the 93 entries, 88 will take the start on Sunday.
Two-wheeler rally continues to be the most popular form of motorsports in India and the overwhelming response of 93 entries proves that bikers continue to call the shots. The 56-odd km dirt tracks comprising of two special stages that will be run four times in the same direction in the famed coffee estates will decide the winners in 9 classes. “The terrain is tricky but more or less similar to last year. But the wet surface due to recent rains poses challenges, the same as last year,” said a biker from Bengaluru. “Yes, it is slushy and we have to be careful in negotiating the tracks,” said Ryhana Bee, a National champion in 2W road racing. “Many will fall tomorrow, including me. The stages are challenging but we are up to it,” warned Deeksha Srivastava in jest, the Sprint Queen, who won the 2021 Sprint Nationals, is making her debut in INRC.
The stages are short but are very technical, providing tricky terrain but with no rains on Saturday and forecast dry for Sunday, the Nationals is all set to ring in a new year. Coming to the defending champion, Abdul Wahid Tanveer, who will be spearheading the TVS campaign, he had some pretty cool answers to the two questions posed by INDIainF1.com. Your goals for 2022, your bike…
When asked about his goals for 2022, Tanveer said: My goals are as simple as 1.2.3. One is to continue following my passion. Second one is to thoroughly enjoy myself while chasing my goals. And the third is to scale greater heights, but one step at a time… To shed some light on the bike, it is a lean, mean machine that is the epitome of strength and a rider’s dream. I am excited for this one!
“I was fortunate enough to fly to France to be trained by a fabulous mentor, Michael Metge. We rode through the various terrains and really pushed our limits, but my favourite part was getting in touch with my inner strength. Thanks to my mentor who made the training eventful and really helpful,” that is how the champion concluded.
Aishwarya Pissay, the 2019 FIM World Cupper, a Ladies World champion was lucky to test her bike today and meet some wild friends. She was trying to get some feel on the bike when she saw something zip past in front of her. Usually the culprit in speeding, at least on the track with full freedom in the world, she was surprised by the speed with which someone else crossed the road. But it is not a competitor. It is a four-legged creature full of beautiful horns. She spotted a spotted deer in the second Stage today. An antler… So what are your goals for 2022, we asked the same question as we did to Tanveer, and the only world champion in Indian motorsports said: “My goal for this year is to win the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) for a sixth time. Along with that, I am looking forward to riding in a few international rallies like Andalucia, but they are yet to be confirmed. The Recce was good and I love the feel of the bike. Also, I have just completed one training abroad (France) and will undergo another round of training in June 2022. I am sure these trainings will be very useful for me and will help me give better performance in the 2022 INRC.” Aishwarya won the INRC 2w consecutively for five years from 2017, her debut season.
Her closest rival is Tanika Shanbagh. A rider young and raring to go… But the young rider is not racing in Ladies class this year. She switched gears and is gong hammer and tongs, racing with big boys. She will be the lone lady in the top-six bikes that will be racing in Class 1A, the Indian Experts class. Daughter of former motorsports champion Shanbag, the rider from Satara, will be testing herself astride a Husqvarna TE350 as she prepares to jump start her international career. ”We are planning to take part in at least one international rally event this year and for that I want to get accustomed to the handling, and the speed of the bike. I also want to become faster on the bike,” a simple statement but very assertive. Watch out, this young talent if groomed properly can go places. Apart from the top guns, there are two riders one need to watch out for. Sarath Mohan and Sinan Francis.

Overwhelming response for INRC 2w Nationals: MSCC all set for season opener
By David Bodapati
Chikkamagaluru, 13 May 2022: Overwhelming response from riders across India with nine ladies in the fray, makes Rally of Chikmagalur, the opening round of the MRF MoGrip fmsci Indian National Rally Championship 2W 2022 (INRC), a grand affair with the Motor Sports Club of Chikmagalur (MSCC) leaving no stone unturned as they prepare to kick-start the 2022 Rally Nationals for two-wheeler in the picturesque Coffee lands on the foothills of Sahayadri hills here on Saturday and Sunday.
The recce will be on Saturday morning and the eight Special Stages will be run on Sunday.
With a few new recruits, TVS will be gunning for glory again and will be the team to beat as they mount the challenge with a new nomenclature as Petronas TVS Racing, the colours which were recently revealed in the Supercross Nationals they dominated in Nashik and Pune.
Hero has two riders, the stalwart in Yuva Kumar and Sathyaraj Arumugam while there will two more team entries. Jawa Automobiles fielded Hemanth Gowda and Bharath L while Aprilia JB Racing too has two entries Muzaffar Ali and Pinkesh Thakkar, the 2020 scooter champ, who will be astride an Aprilia this time around. Subrahmanya T too another experienced rider who made a team entry as Rebel Motorsports will join the field. The Scooter class will have mega clashes this season between the two giants.
The 10-member team will be lead by Overall defending champion Abdul Wahid Tanveer and FIM 2019 World Cup champion Aishwarya Pissay, both of whom are raring to go after training abroad ahead of the season. The team also boasts of Karthik Naidu, the Scooter Champion 2021 and Samuel Jacob who won the 2021 title in the Super Sport 260cc Group B with a round to spare. Karthik won his maiden title by a narrow margin in the last round on his NTorq and is expected to have tough competition this year too.
In response to INDIAinF1.com’s query, defending Overall champion Tanveer said: “My goals for 2022 are as simple as 1.2.3. One is to continue following my passion. Second is to thoroughly enjoy myself while chasing my goals. And third – to scale great heights, one step at a time. To shed some light on the bike, it is a lean, mean machine that is the epitome of strength and a rider’s dream. I am excited for this one!.”
When asked about his training stint abroad: “I was fortunate enough to fly to France to be trained by a fabulous mentor, Michael Metge. We rode through the various terrains and really pushed our limits, but my favourite part was getting in touch with my inner strength. Thanks to my mentor who made the training eventful and really helpful.”

This is the only rider who responded to INDIAinF1 request for a photo. It is Deeksha Srivastava, the Sprint Champion of 2021 posing at the Rally Hq &7Heaven in front of a bike. No this is not the bike she is going to ride. But she is a Hero, and will be astride an Impulse for Round 1. Photo credit: Deeksha S, Debut, Ladies Class, INRC 2w. But Samuel will be moving to the higher class, the Group A 450cc astride an RTR450. As a defending champion, though he lost the title to teammate Tanveer in 2021, he retained the championship in his class and he will be the one to watch out for as he moves to Group A.
Apart from these four defending champions, Petronas TVS Racing team will be spearheaded by old-timers and former champions Rajendra RE, Nataraj and Imran Pasha and will have hardworking sprinter Sachin D, Shamim Khan and Asif Ali in the ten-riders that registered for Round 1. While Rajendra, the 2019 champion who began well winning at the first round in Hampi, he failed to recreate the magic as the season saw some treacherous terrain. Likewise, talented Sachin D was the receiving end despite some good show on the track as he lost the Sprint Nationals and will be looking to redeem his fortunes in the bigger Rally Nationals this year. Back in the fold as a factory rider will boost his confidence and the humble giant needs to switch gears and make his bike do the talking.
Young Ajin Abraham, Asad Khan, Pavan BK, Sajeesh Reghunathan and Md Zaheer, the heavyweight are the privateers who put in all their efforts and money to get noticed once again. But Ajin, who is into a new career path, will begin his title defence only from Round 2, in a new class, the SS 165cc Gr B. As the defending champions in their classes, they are ones to watch out for. Experienced Jatin Jain, Francis Sinan, Suhail Ahmed will be the others who can upset the apple-cart of any star in their class. Amidst all these young and new there will be one guiding star, the Riders Representative, Venu Ramesh Kumar, full of two decades of experience in both 2w and 4w INRC. He will be riding in Class 5, the Super Sport 400cc Group B. Sinan, the double Sprint National champion in 2020 and 2021 will be looking to bag the Rally Nationals in SS550 GrB class on a KTM 450excf with State mate Sarath Mohan in the same class.
The Ladies Class will have nine entries with with TVS factory rider and defending champion Aishwarya Pissay leading the field with current Racing National champion Ryhana Bee from Chennai and Tanika Shanbhag from Satara being the regulars. This year the 2021 Sprint champion Deeksha Srivastava from Pune will be joining the hunt along with other talented riders, including Fazeela from Kerala, who will be a dark horse, who has the capacity to beat the stars on her day. “I have just completed one training abroad and will undergo another round of training in June 2022. I am sure these trainings will be very useful for me. I am looking forward to riding in a few international rallies (this year) which are yet to be confirmed,” said Aishwarya Pissay. Meanwhile, Tanika Shanbag just informed INDIAinF1.com that she would not be taking part in the Ladies Class but will be moving up to the prestigious Superbike Expert Group A, Class 1A with an eye to take part in International rallies for exposure. So it makes 8 lady entries and we wish Tanika all the best in her future endeavours. “I want to participate in at least one international rally this year and in preparation, I want to get accustomed to the handling and the speed of the bike. Becoming faster on it is the goal,” is what the speed maestro, Tanika, texted.
Sarath Mohan from Mallapuram, who trains with Harith Noah, is another rider to watch out for. Last year he won the first three rounds in Class 6, the Super Sport 550 Group B before his unfortunate life-threatening accident which damaged his liver but the strong-willed rider is in form and back to mount his challenge. Watch this space for a special article on this Kerala talent.
“All the arrangements are complete and the track is ready. We had some rains in the last few days but the forecast is bright and we are hoping for some good action. One stage which we did last year will not be there. We got a very good response with 93 entries and all safety aspects are taken care of with a team of trained volunteers and experienced officials,” said Abhijeeth Pai BH, the Clerk of the Course.
There will be two Special Stages, Vasanthcool (8km) and Thippanahalli (6km) in the famed coffee estates. The two physical stages will be run four times in the same direction with slight changes in the tulip that ran last year and with one stage removed from the road book. The total Special Stage rallying distance is 56 km and with a transport of another 53.76 km, the total rally distance is 109.76 km.

Aishwarya overcomes Tanika threat to keep slate clean: INRC2w Ladies Class
Puttur (Near Mangaluru), 15 Nov. 2021: Young Tanika Shanbag of Satara put up a valiant fight against FIM World Cupper Aiswarya Pissay but the Bengaluru’s rider astride an Apache RTR bull-dozed her way back, to claim her third consecutive victory in Rally de Mangaluru, the third round of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 2021 for two-wheelers here on Sunday. Aishwarya clocked 50minutes 38.849seconds for her third win.
Read the men’s overall report for all classes in Round 3 here.
Tanika Shanbagh, riding a Hero Xpulse 200, came second ahead of another privateer Anam Hashim on Hero Honda Karizma. The teenager clocked 51min, 32.182sec for her second place while Anam took 1hr, 9min, 07.720seconds.
After the win Aishwarya Pissay, the defending champ, said, “I thank my team, TVS Racing and the mechanics for giving me another winning bike. I also thank Hyperice, the equipment that helps me to recover and maintain my fitness levels. The terrain is challenging and it is good for the National Rally because only such difficult terrain can prepare Indians for the tougher International rallies,” felt the six-time National, champion supported by IIFL, Sidvin, Scott, Puma India, and Go Pro. Aishwarya finished Overall 20, among 55 bikers that took the start and was ahead of 29 men and six women, who all competed on different bikes in various classes.
The Rally de Mangaluru organised in Puttur by Ace Events, headed by former National Champion Akash Aithal had two physical Special Stages, namely Karambi, a short 5.2-km dirt stage and Karikala, the slippery 15.1-km longer stage. Both the stages were run three time alternately and with the overnight rains making the roads slushy, the riders once again faced technical challenges but unlike the treacherous Kanakapura mud-traps, the Round 3 proved to be a haven.
Tanika and Aishwarya shared spoils and won three of the six special stages but while the TVS Factory Rider controlled her pace cleverly to limit the damage on the slippery surface, Tanika, nursing an ankle injury sustained in the previous round in Bengaluru rally, had to stop and clear the sticky mud on her bike. “I suffered an injury and did not want to aggravate. So I did not risk too much and stopped to clean my bike in SS3 where I lost a huge chunk of over 30 seconds. But I enjoyed my rally thoroughly as the terrain provided a challenging ride and that is what makes me happy. It is a good learning experience,” quipped the Business Administration student.
Aishwarya, who began on a ferocious note registering a blistering pace in the Karambi Special Stage, lost crucial time in SS2,. But falling back on her vast experience she extracted the best from her bike in the next four stages to bounce back brilliantly and played safe thereon, with regulated aggression on the slippery track to emerge triumphant for a clean sweep of the first three rounds in the 2021 calendar.
Bengaluru’s FIM Baja World Cup champion, claimed a solid win at Hampi and went on to take another facile victory in Round 2 at Bengaluru, conquering the technically challenging slushy terrain, and now leads the table in the woman’s category after her third win from three rounds here.
The fourth round, the Rally of Chikmagalur is scheduled for next Sunday and after two more rounds in Coimbatore and Nashik, the topper with more points is declared as the National champion. Aishwarya is well on her way to bag her sixth bike rally National title. She also won two coveted Road Racing titles.

Abdul Wahid Tanveer wins Overall honours; TVS sweep continues
Mangaluru, 14 Nov 2021: TVS Racing continued to dominate the MRF MoGrip Indian National Racing Championship for two-wheelers as Dakar-prospect Abdul Wahid Tanveer romped home with a stunning overall victory in Round 3 held here on Sunday.
Abdul Tanveer, who made his debut in 2014 for TVS,has been on the rise and the #2 Bengaluru rider clocked 40minutes, 55.728 seconds for the six Special Stages, as he defeated his nearest rival and defending champion Sarath Mohan of Mallapuram by over six seconds. However, Sarath Mohan, a privateer on Husqvarna FE450 won Class 1A with Tanveer taking Class 1 gold astride a TVS Apache RTR. Imran Pasha J, also of TVS Racing came overall third, another 14 seconds behind Mohan, but won Class 4 as well. TVS also made a sweep of the scooter class.
Tanveer, who won his class in his international rally year in Merzouga in 2017 has been preparing for Dakar but COVID19 postponed his dream run. Undaunted, the Mysore rider is pulling all stops to keep his fitness and win the domestic events. Teammate and former champion Nataraj R came second while privateer Gautham Rao R completed the podium pushing out another former champion and TVS giant Rajendra RE.
In the Class IA, Sarath Mohan of Mallapuram, astride a Husqvarna FE 450 beat the Rally of Himalayas winner Aman Prabhakar Pawde on a KTM EXCF 450 while Asad Khan took third on a Suzuki RMX 450Z as all privateers ruled the roost in this top class. Ajion Abraham, Dilip Raj and Prashanth R, all on a Honda CBR Stunner 130cc, won the Class 2 in that order.
Riding a Hero Impulse 150cc, Pavan won Class 3 ahead of Sashi Kumar and Abrar Pasha, all privateers and on similar bikes. Imran Pasha J upset champion Samuel Jacob and Sachin had to be content with a third in Class 4, the TVS Apache RTR category.
Venu Ramesh Kumar, continues to defy age, as the senior most rider once again stood on the second step of the podium. But this time, Sajeesh Reghunathan, also on a KTM Duke 390 beat the Riders’ Representative to take the gold and Sravan Kumar Kuttoor on a KTM ADV 390 claimed the third place.
Mohammed Zaheer won the Bullet Class with another Belgaum rider taking the second also on a Himalayan. Naresh and Devaraj Venkatesh of Tribal Cafe, finished in that order.
TVS Racing once again dominated the Scooter Class and made amends to last round loss of a podium place by sweeping all the top-three places. Syed Asif Ali won the gold while teammates Karthik and Shamim Khan followed him in second and third, all on TVS N Torque. Adnan Ahmed won the non-championship Star of Karnataka award.
